The best possible News that could ever be... was true? Really true! Objectively, experientially, unchangingly true! What if that News was the answer to your biggest deepest darkest questions, and the satisfaction of your greatest most pressing needs?
Jesus Christ is that News! He is love and life and laughter and meaning and forgiveness and insight and hope ... in Person! We are all needy, sinful and helpless orphans birthed into a fallen world of darkness and death. But God, out of His compassion and love, came Himself to make us sons and daughters by the sacrifice of Jesus. Being adopted into the family of God is not about doing more or trying harder ...
it’s about being welcomed Home by God because of His gift, free from the penalties of sin, never alone in our struggles, forever connected to the One Who Is Love and Joy. This is true freedom — we are secure because of Jesus’ overflowing and unending love.
It's one thing to talk about God as a theological concept and quite another to experience the freedom and joy of His love. That’s why Madison – Monrovia Presbyterian Church was begun. For us, it’s all about sharing the Best News and greatest Reality that anyone could ever know. We are adopted orphans telling other orphans about the Father Who will adopt them too.
MMARPC’s mission is to get you and those you love Home safe through faith in Jesus, with radical freedom, infectious joy and surprising faithfulness to Jesus as your crowning achievement.
Having received by faith what Jesus has done, God will never be angry at us again. God’s wrath has been turned away from us and to Jesus at the cross, and His perfect righteousness has been credited to our account. The apostle Paul explains that we who are in Jesus are no longer under condemnation and we've been set free (Romans 8:1; Galatians 5:1). Embracing the fact that God isn’t mad at us sets us free to live joyful lives. As we love Him and others because He first loved us, our joy is infectious. The one who is forgiven much loves much and love fulfills the law (Romans 13:8-10). Faithfulness from sinners is always surprising. It’s wondrous!
Unconditional love and radical grace change everything. They affect how we love, work, live, lead, marry, parent and worship. People have suffered under the heavy burden of "do more, try harder" religion too long and M-MARPC is here to announce that Jesus sets captives free!
God certainly doesn’t need us, but for some reason He has seen to it that Madison - Monrovia Presbyterian Church is here and telling what we know about Jesus ...
and having a blast doing it!
